I feel I must be the odd one out on here, but I was talking about bugs to my sister a couple of days ago, she also has ra.

We were both saying that we seem to get less bugs since having ra. I just feel that perhaps because our immune systems are always on high alert, we seem to fight off the bugs better as they appear, not to say that I never get a cold , but just that it does not take such a hold.

Feeling a bit strange, hope you all feel better soon Smile

Well that makes 3 of us then because I feel the same. It seems counter intuitive to everything we hear about RA and infections. Nice to have an upside for once!

Hi Everyone

That's really interesting, as I am one of those who has far less illnesses since having RA. I don't know quite what my immune system does with the bugs; but I never seem to get colds or coughs - and just occasionally a chest infection (although it is very mild from my point of view - and I am not ill in bed - just coughing up yukky stuff!), due to a lung disease - so has to be treated with antibiotics for 2 weeks each time. I am on Humira too - and have been much healthy since then too.... isn't that weird!

Gentle hugs to everyone

Anne
